With a population just over 4,500, Poestenkill is known as a "gateway" to the Rensselaer Plateau. It offers residents and visitors a unique opportunity to experience a wealth of outdoor recreation activities and easy access to some of the Plateau's most celebrated state parks, forests, and natural landmarks. Poestenkill is home to a number of unique shops, dining options, and community events.
